I am so late for this. There is no wind in me left to say why. But I did it, FINALLY!
I’m really trying to meet my goal this year. So here’s how that is currently looking.
The Autobiography of Malcolm X
As told by Alex Haley
It is no longer a secret how long this book took me to finish. For the most part I felt it was filled with a lot of hurt and a man who took it all on his shoulders. The Autobiography of Malcolm X was both authentic and raw. It was a trigger in a number of ways relating to the pain black people have endured over the years.
Alex Haley is a superb writer/storyteller. His respect of the image of the man Malcolm X will definitely echo throughout time.
It was a marvellous read in every sense of the word. Well worth the agony and tears.
Two Dark Reigns
This third instalment in the Three Dark Crowns series was better than the second book (I still expected more) but not as good as the first book.
Here is my review of Two Dark Reigns.
In my latest BookTube video I unpack what I thought about the books and let you know what I’m reading at the moment.
